My Story

I grew up in a Christian home with loving godly parents in northern Indiana. At the age of 6, I prayed a prayer just to get my Sunday School teacher to stop asking me about my salvation. For years I knew that I was unsaved, but I refused to put my faith in Jesus Christ. As a teenager I really struggled and would stay up at night fearful that I would die in my sleep and go to hell. I really believe that I refused to put my faith in Jesus Christ because of one reason, pride. On September 11, 2001, my eyes were open to the fact that I could not put this off anymore, and I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior that day!

The following summer I went to church camp and felt the call to the ministry. I went to Pensacola Christian College and pursued a degree in missions and then furthered my education with a Masters in Bible Exposition. While working on my Masters, I was assigned to work at Rejoice Radio, PCC’s Christian radio station. While there, I learned a lot about radio. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to learn about the wonderful ministry of Christian radio.

In 2016, I received a phone call from a friend from college, Pastor Allen Holmes. He told me that the Christian radio station at his church was looking for someone to come and be on staff. He asked if I would be willing to talk to the station manager, David Weirich. I said, “Yes”, and the rest is history. As Pastor Holmes began to take over the pastorate I was asked to be the bridge between youth directors, but I soon felt the need to stay in that position. I absolutely love to work with the youth and challenge them to serve our wonderful Savior. I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord here at Harvest Baptist Temple.
